An Internet Entrepreneur’s Journey

I got an email from Tyler Cruz the other day asking if I'd be interested in taking part in a "Review My Blog" offering he has going in exchange for a link back from his site. I was intrigued, because I knew of Tyler from his postings on DigitalPoint and I've recently started keeping up with his blog. Why? Well, because it's about making money online of course and let's face it, if you want to make money online you've got to keep up with the different avenues there are to do that.

Tyler takes a very unique approach on his blog, instead of just talking about the different ways to make money, he's keeping more of a diary of his effort to do it. I know, there's a bunch of bloggers doing that, but for the life of me I can't say I've seen one that's doing it solely with affiliate marketing and documenting the effort to the degree Tyler is. In fact, the series he started on the topic, "My Plunge Into Affiliate Marketing", is one of the reasons I really started paying attention to his blog. I've tried affiliate marketing several times, all with products I thought would do well for the niches I was in, none every really worked, so given Tyler had already gained some credibility with me via DigitalPoint I was certainly interested in how this went.

May 3rd was day 10 and Tyler's banging away trying to meet his new goals. From the looks of things it's not an easy ride either but if nothing else he's diligent. Even after ten days, I'd probably have given up by now and that's why in a month or two well find Tyler's created another small empire to rule over. Something he's no stranger to by the way, some of you may know of the site Movie-Vault.com, his first big site which he's had offers extended to buy for around $50k, that's not bad, even Shoemoney expressed interest in the site at one time. Tyler has a number of other sites as well but his focus right now is on affiliate marketing.

I know if your reading my site then your most likely here looking for money making tips and I hope to accommodate some that but affiliate marketing is just not my forte. I'd like to be better at it and honestly, as good as Adsense and other PPC programs work for some people, for others it just doesn't work at all. Affiliate Marketing is a time tested and proven method of making money online and through Tyler's detailed account of his trials and errors, we should all be able to learn something to help further our own goals.

The site itself is nice and clean, easy on the eyes and easy to read. As with most of the serious money makers out there, it's not all business. TylerCruz.com offers a break every now and again to focus on other things. If your a poker player, Tyler also runs PokerForums.com and I especially enjoyed a post he wrote titled "Poker Player vs. Web Publisher".

I could go on and on about how great Tyler's doing or how much good stuff is on his site, but I'd prefer not to do that. Lots of sites portend to want to tell you how to make money online, few actually accomplish that. Tyler's approach is fresh, it's different and it's personal. You'll have to judge the value for yourself, but if your serious about making money online and you don't at least spend some time checking it out your doing yourself a grave disservice. If your looking to get into the affiliate marketing game this is a must read site and it may save you from making huge mistakes early in the game.
