Final Fantasy Versus XIII Real Time PS3 Screens

The Tokyo Game Show 2008 Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer featured one scene rendered in the PS3 in real time. According to the game’s director Tetsuya Nomura, that scene was the one where Noctis meets blonde-haired heroine Stella.
Homebrew Rockets Excite Geek Hobbyists

Mounted horizontally on a launch rail, the long, slender rocket exudes such papable menace that you cant’ help but feel sorry for the poor bastards on the receiving end. Except that this isn’t a wapon of mass destruction. It’s a glorified toy built by middle-aged hobbyists moonlighting as rocket scientists. The only people in imminent danger are the guys standing around the makeshift launchpad. We’re in the middle of Black Rock Desert, the vast, dry lake bed in Nevada (best known as the site of the annual Burning Man bacchanal), and at the moment there’s nothing to hit for miles in any direction. But there’s a very real risk the thing will blow up before it leaves the ground.
The Six Million Dollar Bra

Supermodel Adriana Lima is sporting Victoria’s Secret’s latest bra which is encrusted with nearly 3,900 precious gems, thousands of tiny black diamonds, 117 one-carat round diamonds and 34 rubies. The lavish item is finished off with a spectacular pair of 100-carat black diamond drops. The Black Diamond Miracle Bra is also crafted to give maximum cleavage lift. But for those still miraculously immune to the financial downturn you could do far worse than invest in this jewel-encrusted bra worth a staggering £3million.
Dell XPS Baton PC

Fashioned as a tube, the Dell XPS Baton PC concept has to be the most ingenious design that I have seen for laptop in a very long time. It’s all about a tube and portable designing. Featuring two rolled up flexible colored OLED films; the screens pull out to form a display and a keyboard (bottom screen) at a convenient angle. An electric charge hardens the materials to make them rigid and easy to use. Designed by Tai Chiem, the Dell XPS Baton PC concept will find favors with the harried executives who need to lug their laptops all around the place. The LED touchscreen of the Baton displays live feeds.
Rejected Transformers

So we know all about Optimus Prime and Megatron and all those wonderful badass transforming robots, but no one ever talks about the rejected Transformers. Ya know, the robots who were told they just weren’t ready to leave their home planet and co-star in a giant, totally awesome Michael Bay summer blockbuster. Those robots who tried and tried and tried again, but never really impressed their bosses or their loved ones or, well, anyone. (I’m kinda sad right now for some reason.)
Indiana Jones Giant RC Ant

Fortunately, this Giant RC Ant is worth it, and probably one of the few good things to come out of that disaster of a movie called Indiana Jones and the Stupid Crystal Craniums of Some Dumbass Aliens. You can make the $29.99 ant crawl and chomp its mandibles with the Crystal Skull remote control, all while singing the secret lyrics to the Indiana Jones theme out loud. Jones—my beloved dog, not the archeologist—would totally dig this.
Jet Engines Make You Go Ooh!

Jet engines undergo a variety of tests shown here, from chucking water, sand and flocks of dead birds into their gaping intakes. They are also tested to see what happens when a fan blade is destroyed while the turbine is spinning, with an explosive charge, not something to try at home. But the best tests of all are those involving jet engine afterburners and the best of the best has to be those with vector nozzles.
Bioware Talks About Dragon Age: Origins

With BioWare’s fantasy-centric Dragon Age: Origins slated to hit PC early next year and consoles at some time after that, lead designer Brent Knowles has pledged that the console editions “will be no typical console RPG.”

This gives new meaning to the concept of a “mobile home”.
