Improve Windows Vista Performance… Get A Mac

I just love stuff like this. PC World tested Windows Vista on a bunch of different laptops, including Dell, Alienware and Toshiba to benchmark their performance. In the end, one laptop emerged a clear winner. By a single point the Macbook Pro outperformed the Gateway E-265M. I’m not sure which is the bigger surprise, the fact the margin was only one point or the next best thing is a Gateway. Um yeah…

The fastest Windows Vista notebook we’ve tested this year is a Mac. Try that again: The fastest Windows Vista notebook we’ve tested this year–or for that matter, ever–is a Mac. Not a Dell, not a Toshiba, not even an Alienware. The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro’s PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway’s E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook’s score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn’t care less whether you run Windows.

iGroan: New Yorkers Groan About iPhone Policies

IntoTheBox.tv spent some time talking to New yorkers about their cellphones and how they use them. A good deal of it surrounded the iPhone and the policies that have recently been implemented. The video clip talks to a couple people about how they feel about Apple forcing them to use a credit card to purchase a phone in order to track what they are doing with it (ie: trying to deter unlocking). The opinions are about what you’d expect but it always interesting to get the perspective from your Average Joe off the street. Check it out, what’s your opinion, do you agree or disagree with the points presented in the clip?

iPhone 2.0 To Be Announced At MacWorld 2008

Amidst all the talk about how Apple has locked down the iPhone with the most recent software update and nullified the early work of the hacking elite and the recent talk about new hacks being provided, the chatter regarding the iPhone 2.0 had all but died off. Well now the rumor mill is turning again, Smartoffice is reporting that Apple intends to announce the iPhone 2.0 at Macworld 2008. Oooooo big surprise there right? Not many details have emerged, yet, but those are sure to come.

I’m sorry, but I’m about over the whole iPhone thing. It’s cool and all, but not very functional and I just found it tedious to use.

More Bling Bling, Gold Plate Your iPhone

In case you haven’t found a use for that Adsense check yet, you might want to consider gold plating your iPhone in 24 carat gold. Why? Because you would be the coolest homey on the block, just ignore the snickers behind your back.

Seriously, being hip and cool is all about accessorizing and what better way to do that than having your phone match your teeth or the 40lbs of chains you lug around all day.
