Blizzard Says Stop Asking When StarCraft II Will Be Done
Yeah, I’m guilty. Just about every time I make a StarCraft II post I ask the same question, “when’s it gonna be released?”. HAH! Guess all the belly aching out there has finally gotten to the Blizzard crew.
“No, there’s no hard date”, Pearce told us. So that’s that. More pylons needed, maybe. Clearly, we should just leave Blizzard alone and let them do their thing, which currently is continually iterating the internal StarCraft II alpha, exposing it to larger and larger circles of players.
Those who have gotten their hands on the playable version of Blizzard’s spacey real-time strategy game may think that the thing is ready for beta, but to the folks on the development side, despite near complete appearances, there’s still plenty of work to be done. So what’s Blizzard working on now for StarCraft II?
From all the reports I see there’s still a ways to go yet. That’s ok, I’d much rather get a kick ass sequel than some half ass p.o.s. anyway so I’ll just continue to bitch and moan about when.

Blizzard Says No Diablo III For Console Gamers
According to lead designer Jay Wilson, console gamers are just going to have to keep on wishing saying “we don’t have any plans” when talking about releasing a console version of Diablo III for either the XBOX 360 or the PS3. Well, all I can say is, if don’t run on a Mac then I ain’t buying it.

We knew it was coming, eventually. Rumors of a new Diablo title have been running rampant for some time now but at last Blizzard has officially announced there will be a third version of the Diablo series. No world on an official release date but if the gameplay footage that’s out is any indication it might not be that long. Check the videos then run out and scream like the your hacking apart hundreds of shrieking ghouls until you pass out from exhaustion.

Starcraft 2 Video Preview
With the hype of Halo 3 dying down it’s time to turn our attention to the next big thing in the gaming world, at least my gaming world anyway. Starcraft 2 is coming, when, nobody seems to know exactly. Blizzard has said they intend to take as long as they need to get it developed, which is fine with me, I hate buggy games. I can’t wait for this one to release, more so than Halo 3, because I’ll actually play Starcraft 2, which means the blog will be dead for a fews when that happens. Until then, here’s a single player demo video to give you an idea of what’s in store.

Starcraft 2 Single Player Game Play Footage
There’s no set release date for Blizzards recently announced Starcraft 2, but these early looks at gameplay footage are pretty nice. Here’s some screen caps from gameplay at BlizzCon 2007. Focus was on the Terran faction and players were able to control Jim Raynor. Tons of ingame videos can be found here.
In an attempt to advance their story mechanics beyond what was present in Warcraft, StarCraft, and Warcraft 3, Blizzard has implemented character dialogue trees into the mix. So, instead of just watching in-game cut-scenes (WC3) or non-interactive dialogue panels (SC), you can click on characters surrounding Raynor on the bridge to engage them in conversation.
