A Pill to Cure Alcoholism?

Researchers at the University of Virginia Health System reported that a drug called topiramate can lead to a reduction in heavy drinking. It’s not on the market yet, but doctors can supposedly prescribe it “of label”.
The drug proved to be better than a placebo at reducing the craving for alcohol and did a better job of lowering liver enzymes, cholesterol, body mass index, and blood pressure-which reduces the risk of serious health conditions.A reduction in both cholesterol levels and blood pressure, for example, decreases the risk of developing heart disease. Topiramate may also lower the risk for the onset of cirrhosis, the scarring of the liver that is a leading cause of death in heavy drinkers.
Well, it’s no wonder Budweiser was entertaining offers from the Germans.

Beer Glove: Keep Your Beer Frosty Cold And Your Hand Warm

Sometimes you have to get drunk to have a great idea and undoubtedly this was some beer drinking Bubba that got tired of his beer always getting warm. The Beer Glove is one of those ideas that I could have had, but didn’t, not sure why. It’s made from Mica-Flex Acrylic Stretch material so one size fits all, with easy to follow instructions (someone will ask how it works you watch). It also prevents your drinking hand from geting frost bite when you manage to fish out the beer that’s been chilling in the bottom of the cooler the longest and the Super-Stick ArrowTech Grippers (someone actually thought that up) will decrease the chances of you spilling your beer by up to 79%.
Damn.. I should buy a whole truck load of these and sell’em at the next NASCAR race. Wanna buy a glove? Each glove is $7 plus shipping and you can even get a bulk discount. I’m all about that.
