Just What Is This “Second Life” Thing?
There’s a term I keep seeing and hearing, it’s called “Second Life”. I’ve never really paid it much attention as it sounds like some new age religious thing, but being bored this morning I finally broke down and Googled the term to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out, Second Life is a huge online social networking community. Yeah, I know, MySpace, LiveJournal, Bebo just what we need, yet another MySpace spin off. Except that’s not what Second Life is. I dunno how I’ve missed this before, guess I’ve just never paid attention to it but it’s quite a neat concept.
Lara Croft returns, Tomb Raider Anniversary
It looks like lovely Lara will again be packing her guns in this throw back to the original game. The Anniversary edition of the game uses an enhanced version of the Tomb raider Legend engine bringing Lara’s search for the mythical Scion to modern day standards. Widely acclaimed as one of the most influential and innovative games of it’s time, this could easily launch a new era that sees gaming companies revamp some old namesakes with newer engines. Halo 3 gameplay footage leaked
