“Female Gamers” Vs. “Gamer Girls” Which One Are You?

We treat them like a rare species, but really, women who game are not that uncommon. Recent polls have put the figure between 35 and 40 percent of women, a minority but not a scarcity. Negative Gamer’s Chelsea — aka Nintendoll — spotted something elsewhere that set her teeth on edge, and she wants to set the record straight about the reasons women and girls game. Because in her view the experience risks getting cliquey and catty, like high school.

Star Trek Online

I’ve played a number of Star Trek games over the years, can’t say any of them really made me yearn to play for hours on end. The graphics look pretty sweet though, but I’m going to be skeptical and say I’ll have to wait for a bit more before deciding to devote a small lifetime to the game. Here’s to it meeting fan expectations.

Marvel at this 100% in-engine footage and boldly go where no one has gone before.

SX02 Combat Flight Simulator

The SX02 Flight Simulator sports a centrally mounted HOTAS Joystick, a tension adjustable hand throttle with digital programmable readout, Saitek adjustable flight pedals, a trackball for the PC and a Logitech backlit keyboard. Gunnar Optiks Gaming Glasses

Don’t your eyes get tired from the strain of sitting in from the XBOX or PS3 all night (or all day if you’re either lucky enough or lazy enough to not have a job)? Gunnar Optiks is hoping to fix that by introducing a pir of glasses specifically for gamers. The gaming glasses are designed to block out dry air and increase humidty around your eyes.

The idea is that the special glasses cut down on glare, and reduce distracting external light to reduce eye strain. The wrapped frames and lenses are crafted, I was told, to create a “microclimate” around your eyes, blocking out dry air and slightly increasing humidity around the eyes.

Heck, I have dry eyes anyway, I might just have to snag a pair of those to where like all the time. In fact, expect a review cause I’m getting a pair.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Trailer

As far as Star Wars games go I’m not a huge fan but Star Wars: The Force Unleashed looks to be particularly bad ass so I’m probably going to have to get a copy when the force is unleashed on September 16th.

Set to release in September the latest LEGO themed video game features the caped crusader teaming up with Robin to fight off the entire Rogue’s Gallery of evil doers. LEGO Batman does add a new twist as far as LEGO games go that allows the player to switch to Villan Mode and cause insane amounts of chaos instead of protecting the citizens of Gotham City.
