LEGO Batman Game Trailer

I don't know about this one, it was cool when it came out but honestly I think I'm about worn out on the whole LEGO game thing. So far they are all pretty much the same, however, the saving grace of LEGO Batman is that you can choose to not be the hero and save Gotham City, instead, you can be a villain and create chaos and mayhem to your hearts content.
Wickedly Cool LEGO Aliens Scenes

People have been building some wickedly cool stuff with LEGO's lately. Mike Yoder is a apparently a big Aliens fan and he's created a bunch of dioramas depicting scenes from the movie. I've included a few photos, notice how Mike worked the lighting to give the photos that realistic feel to them. Sort of like the LEGO men are stuck on a deep space transport ship being stalked by blood thirsty aliens. Yeah, they look exactly like that. Be sure to check out the whole gallery at Brickshelf.

LEGO NXT Fireworks Robot
Here's another DIY hack project that I find might be really useful. Everybody likes fireworks and around here people just look for a reason to set some off, legal or otherwise. It can be dangerous though and First Responders are usually kept pretty busy running to scenes where people have gotten burned or worse. This DIY LEGO project solves that problem for you and allows your family to enjoy the spectacle of home launched (or home made) fireworks without the fear of one losing a hand.
This autonomous NXT robot will light multiple fireworks in a sequence. It uses a MINDSTORMS NXT, two light sensors (one for navigation and other to detect a lighted fuse) and an Ultrasonic detector (to adjust the torch arm height depending on the height of the fireworks fuse wire. It uses three motors - two for motion and and the third for the torch arm elevator.
How cool is that? It doesn't replace the prospect of you burning your house to the ground but it could save your wife from having to open your ketchup bottles for you.

LEGO Batman Videogame Teaser Trailer
Who's afraid of the big bad bat? KAPOOOOW!!! Coming fall 2008. Oh yeah, I'm all about that.
From Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games: "A stampede of notorious criminals have busted out of ARKHAM ASYLUM, where GOTHAM CITY houses only the shadiest of characters. It?s up to the famed CAPED CRUSADER to sweep Gotham clean of criminal activity using everything at his disposal, including crime-fighting vehicles as well as several baddie-bashing gadgets."

LEGO Star Wars, The Complete Saga

One of the coolest PS3 games I've played over the past couple of years was the LEGO Star Wars game that featured a story line from episodes 1-3 and the sequel LEGO Star Wars 2 from episodes 4-6. Coming soon, is the complete story in one game called Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. It's being produced for the PS3, XBOX 360 and the Wii and it's possible this game could boost Wii sales dramatically. Why? Because the Wii version will allow you to use the Wii controller to control the movement of the lightsabre. How cool is that!!
The game is slated for release on November 6th. Maybe Santa will bring my son a Wii for Christmas (wink, wink).

Want To Sponsor The Building Of The Millennium Falcon?

Back on October 1st, LEGO introduced the Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon, 5,195 piece set that costs $499.00. Ben over at BuyMeALego.com thinks you might want to sponsor his building of the LEGO model. For a mere .65 cents you can buy your very own brick on Ben's Falcon and get a link back from his site. To date, he's got $389.35 to go. Good luck Ben.
Batman Tumbler Built From LEGO’s

While not on the scale of the LEGO Aircraft Carrier, this model is still pretty neat. It's a replica of the Batmobile, called The Tumbler, from the last Batman movie (Batman Begins). It's pretty neat, check out the images below.

LEGO Aircraft Carrier: Ready To Defend A Small Country

LEGO's! The greatest toy ever invented. I built all kinds of things with them when I was a kid and my son has tons of them too. Some of the newest models are wickedly cool but this has to be one of the coolest, if not the coolest model I've ever seen. Created from an idea, weighing roughly 350lbs, using 300,000 LEGO bricks and taking over a year to build, it's a scale model of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman complete with electrical lights on the deck, hangar, aircraft, movable elevators, radar dishes and a motorized catapult.
