LEGO F1 Ferrari Is Almost Better Than The Real Thing

lego-ferrari-f1_bbt2l_54
This is one of the coolest Lego things yet. This LEGO Formula 1 Ferrari was built from 80,000 bricks to celebrate LEGO World in Amsterdam. According to the original poster the creator Leon Krijgsman was spotted crusing the street in the Ferrari. I gotta stop looking at this stuff because it’s really depressing just how uncreative I am. UGH! Wonder if it meets the new FIA standards…

Lego Radiator Keeps You Warm This Winter

The enhanced surface area of the blocks helps to spread heat more effectively, and each brick has a double plumbing connection—one for the heating system and one that allows you to snap together the bricks like actual Legos. How much all of this will cost to install is unknown—but nothing this nerdy ever comes cheap.

LEGO Universe MMO

It seems LEGO is going MMO with the coming release of LEGO Universe and will concentrate mostly on “core Lego play”, another words, you have to build a lot of stuff.

As they work on the game, Seabury says that NetDevil is trying to identify what is “really core LEGO play” and not create a directed adventure like you find in the Traveller’s Tales games. In fact, he hopes that the game could get people to do the same in the real world. Right now, it seems that lots of kids buy the pre-packs to make the models found on the box cover. Seabury says playing the game inspires he and his child to actually take their virtual creations and make them with real-world LEGOs.

LEGO V-8 Engine Really Works

Whether it be robots or engines, LEGO is the perfect starting block. Though specifics (measurements, etc.) weren’t provided, the engine is fully functional a consists entirely of various LEGO Technic parts. It’s controlled via a knob using the custom-built control pad.

LEGO HMS Hood Battlecruiser

About a year ago I ran across a Lego model of the USS Harry Truman which, to say the least, was pretty darned impressive. Since then, there have been numerous Lego scale models come out, but my favorites are always the naval ships. Here’s a 20 foot long Lego model of the Royal Navy’s battlecruiser HMS Hood built in 1920.

This stunning piece of brick engineering, built to minifig scale, has a robotized mast and is actually bigger than the 16.4-foot-long Lego U.S.S. Harry S. Truman.

LEGO Batman Launch Trailer

We’re a bit behind with this one but it’ll be alright. As far as LEGO game trailers go I think is my favorite one. What makes this LEGO game different from the others? You can be the bad guy, but that’s about it.

Awesome LEGO Mac Pro

On a scale of “1 to Awesome” this LEGO Mac Pro rates a solid Awesome. Not only is it a faithful scale model replica of a real Mac Pro (designed using Lego Digital Designer 2.0), the thing actually houses both a Hackintosh PC running OS X AND a Mac mini.

LEGO Batman Game Trailer

I don’t know about this one, it was cool when it came out but honestly I think I’m about worn out on the whole LEGO game thing. So far they are all pretty much the same, however, the saving grace of LEGO Batman is that you can choose to not be the hero and save Gotham City, instead, you can be a villain and create chaos and mayhem to your hearts content.

Wickedly Cool LEGO Aliens Scenes

People have been building some wickedly cool stuff with LEGO’s lately. Mike Yoder is a apparently a big Aliens fan and he’s created a bunch of dioramas depicting scenes from the movie. I’ve included a few photos, notice how Mike worked the lighting to give the photos that realistic feel to them. Sort of like the LEGO men are stuck on a deep space transport ship being stalked by blood thirsty aliens. Yeah, they look exactly like that. Be sure to check out the whole gallery at Brickshelf.
