Brunette Babe And A Cowboy Hat
Yes sir! Some people are just meant to be models. Meet Laura Lee and her cowboy hat. Who says there's nothing worth seeing on MySpace?
Erin Marie: Macenstein’s June 2008 “Mac Chick of the Month”

Finally the Macenstein crew got around to naming model Erin Marie their "Mac Chick of the Month" for June 2008. Damn, she's hot but what's even better, this blond bombshell knows how to talk dirty.
“Please don’t categorize me as another one of those ‘models’, ” says Erin. “We are not all vapid idiots. I work hard for everything I get, and I really love what I do. I have my B.A., and my last job was with a computer networking company that handled SIP Trunk connections for VoIP media, etc. Before that I was working with a litigation company branched in digital imaging and computer forensics. We were sorta like ‘8-bit binary-code spies’. Fun stuff if you were on the prosecuting end."
Yeah, you can't shake a stick at that. Get more of Erin Marie at Macenstein.
LEGO Kennedy Space Center

Here's the mother of all LEGO creations. Using 750,000 bricks, 2500 hours and taking up 1,506 square feet someone created a replica of the Kennedy Space Center. It's complete with a 6.13ft tall Space Shuttle, 9ft long Saturn 1B rocket and the Vehicle Assembly Building. One word. AWESOME! Check out the video at Gizmodo.
Krystal Forscutt

Remember Krystal Forscutt from Big Brother 2006? No, well here's a few photos that might jog your memory or make you run off to the Blockbuster looking for a past season DVD. More photo of Krystal here.
LEGO Airbus A380

You gotta love them LEGOs and I admire the people that not only have the time & energy but the creativeness to put together a scaled LGO model from thin air. Here's a perfect example. Someone used 75,000 bricks to make this 9.5 foot long 1:25 scale Airbus A380. Awesome dude!

Project Dalek Building Massive Dalek Army

You know, sometimes I wonder why I'm not a bit more enterprising. Instead of spending time blogging or writing code for some plugin or something I could be out contributing to something that might make a real worldly difference. Take these guys for example, they've taken their obsession to the extreme. As we saw with the crazy rocketeers the members of Project Dalek are pretty well obsessed with the Dr. Who villians The Daleks.
Poking around the Project Dalek website there's some fascinating stuff. Things like complete plans on how to make an Imperial Dalek and The Davros Chair. There's even a virtual autopsy that goes into great detail on the various parts that make up the galactic exterminators. If you're a Doctor Who fan you'll definitely want to check this site out and if your into building scale models then you might want to tackle building a Dalek of your very own, it'll promise to spare your life when the Daleks take over humanity.
Want To Sponsor The Building Of The Millennium Falcon?

Back on October 1st, LEGO introduced the Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon, 5,195 piece set that costs $499.00. Ben over at BuyMeALego.com thinks you might want to sponsor his building of the LEGO model. For a mere .65 cents you can buy your very own brick on Ben's Falcon and get a link back from his site. To date, he's got $389.35 to go. Good luck Ben.
X-Wing: I Told You The Empire Assassinated R2D2

You guys just thought I was kidding about the Empire using the launch of the 21 foot model X-Wing to assassinate R2D2 didn't you? Well, the truth has come out at last about what really happened. Watch the video, then I expect an apology from all you non-believers out there.
R2D2 Dies As 21 Foot X-Wing Rocket Explodes Into A Million Pieces

Remember the X-Wing model rocket from last week that was built by those crazy rocketeers? They apparently launched the thing this week and well, it didn't go so hot. The launch was impressive however, for all of about 2-3 seconds when something went drastically wrong and the ship exploded into a million little pieces, sending R2D2 plumetting to his death. There's no word on what happened but early reports seem to indicate structural failure. Inside sources, however, secretly say it was an assassination staged by separatists loyal to the Empire that saw the perfect opportunity to take out the beloved little blue & silver droid, they consider the X-Wing merely as collateral damage.
On a more serious note, that sucks for the guys that spent all that time putting the thing together. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Crazy Rocketeers Build 21 Foot Long Star Wars X-Wing… That Flies

I need a hobby like this, something that in the end people can look at and go, that's freaking cool. Polecat Aerospace, a group of (as they say) slightly insane rocketeers got together and decided to make a flying scale model of an X-Wing fighter in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the movie Star Wars. Talk about crazy, the rocket which will actually fly is over 21 feet long and is powered by solid-fuel rockets and contains 3 man rated parachutes for recovery, but the coolest part of the thing is the X-Wings, they actually move in flight.
The wings, including the root sections and the outer panels are about 8' long and weigh 60 pounds a piece, including the motors. The motion mechanism had to be able to move all 4 of these simultaneously, while keeping them in position relative to each other. Additionally, the motion hardware had to be strong enough to keep the wings in position once they were at the extents of their travel.
The launch date is set for next week, hopefully there will be video of the maiden voyage. I didn't see anything on how long it took these guys to build this thing but they do have a website with pictures documenting the process. Here's a few of the finished photos, check their site for a complete gallery of the building process.
LEGO Aircraft Carrier: Ready To Defend A Small Country

LEGO's! The greatest toy ever invented. I built all kinds of things with them when I was a kid and my son has tons of them too. Some of the newest models are wickedly cool but this has to be one of the coolest, if not the coolest model I've ever seen. Created from an idea, weighing roughly 350lbs, using 300,000 LEGO bricks and taking over a year to build, it's a scale model of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman complete with electrical lights on the deck, hangar, aircraft, movable elevators, radar dishes and a motorized catapult.
