Microsoft Nintendo hardware sales benefited once more from successful game titles in September. The best selling title for the month was Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (610,000 units), which helped lift Xbox 360 sales by more than 75% from 195,200 in August to 347,200 units in September, according to NPD. The Wii climbed from a weak 453,000 units in August to 687,000 units on strong sales of its Wii Fit game and accessory, which sold 518,000 times during the month.

You are Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice! The Dark Lord of the Sith himself has trained you to use a lightsaber and unleash the power of the Force, but now your destiny is your own. This Game Trailers featurette compares the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Gunnar Optiks Gaming Glasses

Don’t your eyes get tired from the strain of sitting in from the XBOX or PS3 all night (or all day if you’re either lucky enough or lazy enough to not have a job)? Gunnar Optiks is hoping to fix that by introducing a pir of glasses specifically for gamers. The gaming glasses are designed to block out dry air and increase humidty around your eyes.

The idea is that the special glasses cut down on glare, and reduce distracting external light to reduce eye strain. The wrapped frames and lenses are crafted, I was told, to create a “microclimate” around your eyes, blocking out dry air and slightly increasing humidity around the eyes.

Heck, I have dry eyes anyway, I might just have to snag a pair of those to where like all the time. In fact, expect a review cause I’m getting a pair.

Civilization Revolution

When the world is in your hands, how will you rule? I love CIV, lost many hours that I’ll never get back to playing the various CIV’s but I’m not sure about the newest title. Civilization Revolution brings the CIV experience to gaming consoles (XBOX 360 & PS3) and while I’m all about a new CIV, I’m not sure if the consoles can hold up to the PC experience. Anybody out there played it yet, got an opinion as to how it stacks up?

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Trailer

As far as Star Wars games go I’m not a huge fan but Star Wars: The Force Unleashed looks to be particularly bad ass so I’m probably going to have to get a copy when the force is unleashed on September 16th.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Trailer

From their early days to their glory days, play the music that made Aerosmith the legends that they are today.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Fan Pack Trailer

This trailer for the Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Fan Pack doesn’t look so bad. The game was pretty good (never played the first Vegas) but Vegas 2 was ok so this might be worth picking up to waste some time with.

Blizzard Says No Diablo III For Console Gamers

According to lead designer Jay Wilson, console gamers are just going to have to keep on wishing saying “we don’t have any plans” when talking about releasing a console version of Diablo III for either the XBOX 360 or the PS3. Well, all I can say is, if don’t run on a Mac then I ain’t buying it.
