Syntax-Brillian Introduces Larger Olevia 1080P Displays

I bought a 32″ Olevia 232 last year at Thanksgiving during Circuit City’s $500 promo deal, so far it’s been a bargain for an HD LCD to have in the bedroom. This year Syntax-Brillian is introducing two new sets to the line up, the 47 inch 247TFHD and the 65 inch 265TFHD. Much like the 232 and it’s smaller 27 inch cousin, both the new sets are virtually identical feature wise. Both are 1080P compatible with the 265 sporting a QAM tuner for decoding cable HD (the 247 has weaker video processor), RS232 networking support, and a collection of ports such as two HDMI and two component inputs. Firmware can be upgraded via USB.
The downside to both these models is neither will be a “budget model”. I haven’t found an actual listing for them yet but word is the 247TFHD will retail for around $2k and the 265TFHD will have a health $7k price tag.
