Tom Tom offering auto makers GPS device

Portable GPS navigation system manufacturer TomTom announced during CES 2007 this week the companies intention to offer it’s portable product line to auto makers. TomTom say the unit could be embedded into the dash but could also be removed by users of the system. The new device is scheduled for summer availability and will have such features as full audio integration and will understand voice spoken commands and will be able to handle phone calls via the cars speaker system. No word yet on the cost of the unit that should be announced soon.
