What Is CTR?
May 21st, 2007 • Related • Filed Under
Click Through Rate is the measurement of the percentage of visitors to a site who clicked on an ad averaged over a hundred ad impressions. It’s a rather simple formula.
CTR = clicks / impressions x 100
For example, if a site generates 1500 ad impressions which earn 20 clicks, the ctr is 1.33%
20 /1500 x 100 = 1.33%
This is the easiest method for determine ad performance and is especially useful when testing new ad placements or variations.
